We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage financial operations, ensure accurate project costing, and oversee accounting functions specific to construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of construction accounting, cost control, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & Accounting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Maintain general ledger and ensure accuracy of all entries
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies

2. Project Accounting

• Monitor project budgets, costs, and profitability
• Track job costing, WIP (Work-in-Progress), and revenue recognition
• Analyze project variances and report to management
• Coordinate with project managers for cost control

3. Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Oversee vendor payments, subcontractor invoices, and client billing
• Ensure timely collections and manage cash flow
• Review contract terms for billing and payment schedules

4. Cost Control & Budgeting

• Prepare and monitor budgets and forecasts
• Analyze cost trends and recommend cost-saving measures
• Support tendering and project pricing processes

5. Compliance & Audit

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, etc.)
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Maintain proper documentation and audit trails

6. Team Leadership

• Supervise junior accountants and accounting staff
• Provide training and performance feedback

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) preferred
• 5–8+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in construction
• Strong knowledge of:
• Job costing
• Revenue recognition (percentage of completion method)
• Construction contracts (FIDIC knowledge is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED6,500.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
