Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4–6+ years of accounting experience
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded
- Review and approve RVs, PVs, and JVs prepared by accountants
- Lead and finalize monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes
- Perform and review complex reconciliations (bank, intercompany, credit cards, POS, and cash)
- Ensure proper reconciliation and reporting of intercompany transactions between Dubai and Amman
- Review accounts receivable aging and enforce collection strategies
- Supervise vendor account reconciliations and resolve escalated discrepancies
- Oversee tracking and resolution of non-invoiced services and accruals
- Ensure all financial documentation is properly maintained and audit-ready
- Review contracts and financial commitments for compliance and risk
- Prepare and review tax returns and ensure compliance
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management on performance and cost control
- Improve and streamline accounting processes and internal controls
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff
- Prepare and review management reports, including:
- Financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Monthly closing reports
- Variance analysis reports
- Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities when needed
- Perform strategic and ad hoc assignments from Finance Manager / CFO
