About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical
Senior Accountant
to join our team in Doha.
As a key member of our finance department, you will oversee daily accounting operations, ensure the integrity of our financial records, and support the group’s transition into a more localized, efficient operation.
The ideal candidate is a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable leveraging digital tools to streamline workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- **Financial Management:**
- Oversee full-cycle accounting, including General Ledger maintenance, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- **Reporting & Analysis:**
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and perform in-depth variance analysis.
- **Compliance & Audit:**
- Ensure all financial activities adhere to Qatar’s regulatory standards and group policies; coordinate with external auditors for year-end reviews.
- **Operational Oversight:**
- Manage daily bank reconciliations and oversee payroll processing for diversified staff roles.
- **Strategic Support:**
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting to guide management decisions during operational transitions.
- **Process Optimization:**
- Identify opportunities to automate manual accounting tasks and improve reporting efficiency using modern ERP systems and digital tools.
Requirements
- **Education:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or CMA) is highly preferred.
- **Experience:**
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in senior accounting roles, preferably within a multinational or large-scale group environment.
- **Technical Skills:**
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables) and experience with major ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks).
- **Location:**
- Must be currently based in or willing to relocate to Doha, Qatar.
- **Competencies:**
- Strong leadership potential, excellent communication skills, and a solution-oriented mindset.
