Senior Accountant

About This Role

Job Summary

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the full financial cycle of a cleaning services company, with a strong focus on manpower cost control, payroll processing, and contract-based billing. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, timely salary processing, and effective coordination with clients regarding invoicing and collections.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting & Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Maintain general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable

Payroll & Manpower Cost Management

• Prepare and process monthly payroll for a large workforce (cleaners, supervisors, support staff)
• Calculate overtime, incentives, allowances, and deductions
• Ensure compliance with UAE labor law and WPS requirements
• Manage leave salary, end-of-service benefits, and final settlements
• Analyze manpower costs by site/project and highlight variances

Client Billing & Revenue Management

• Prepare and issue invoices based on contracts, attendance, and deployed manpower
• Verify timesheets, attendance records, and service reports before billing
• Coordinate with operations teams for accurate billing data
• Ensure timely invoicing and revenue recognition

Client Coordination

• Communicate with clients regarding invoices, payments, and account statements
• Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve billing disputes
• Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure smooth financial processes

Budgeting & Cost Control

• Monitor operational expenses (labor, cleaning materials, transport, accommodation, etc.)
• Compare actual costs vs. budget for each site/contract
• Support management with cost control and profitability analysis

Cash Flow & Collections

• Track receivables and ensure timely collections
• Prepare cash flow forecasts
• Support working capital management

Audit & Compliance

• Assist with audits and ensure proper documentation
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations
• Maintain financial controls and records

Team Supervision

• Supervise junior accountants and payroll staff
• Coordinate closely with HR and operations departments

Systems & Process Improvement

• Use ERP/accounting systems for payroll, invoicing, and reporting
• Improve processes related to billing, payroll, and cost tracking

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
