Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage the accounting and financial reporting function.
The role requires strong expertise in full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and investment-related transactions, along with the ability to independently handle accounts and supervise junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complete accounting operations independently.
- Prepare and finalize
- trial balance, profit & loss statement, and balance sheet.
- Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing.
- Maintain accurate and compliant books of accounts in line with applicable accounting standards.
- Perform and review bank and general ledger reconciliations.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
- Review journal entries and ensure accuracy of supporting documentation.
- Strengthen internal controls and ensure proper expense classification.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
- Assist in statutory and management reporting requirements.
- Supervise and guide junior accountant(s).
- Review work performed by junior staff and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide technical support and training where required.
- Prepare financial statements and management reports.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Provide financial data and analysis to support decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in investment or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (IFRS preferred)
- Hands-on experience in trial balance and full set of accounts
- Ability to manage accounting functions independently
- Experience in supervising junior staff
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, SAP, or similar)
- Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills
