About This Role

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Real Estate

Green Coast Real Estate is being currently managed by Better Homes. This job holder acts as the contact point for accounting matters and is responsible for the following –

a.      Recording of income

b.      AR, AP cash management and property management

c.       Balance sheet reconciliation and book close

d.      Bank reconciliation for GCRE, GCFM & HMPE leasing

e.      Intercompany balance confirmation

f.      Daily bank upadtes

g.   Ensures timely deposit of cheques; intimate Better Homes on bounced cheques and follow up until collection.

h.      Ensures disbursement of rental to family members by 10 th of the subsequent month.

i.    Coordinates release of security deposits after ensuring that all necessary clearances have been obtained.

j.        Monthly closing.

In addition to Real Estate and Facilities Management accounting, some small companies may come under your responsibility.

Audit

a.    Providing support in internal and external audits

b.    Providing support in VAT audit

c.    Prepares mapping, notes and audited financial statement

Reporting

a. Prepares necessary quarterly presentations and provides support by gathering, analyzing, and consolidating financial information from various departments.

b.   GCE VAT Group – return filing before the quarterly deadline

c.   Monthly VAT draft report

d.   Prepares monthly VAT draft report (GCE)

e.   Budget variance report

f.    Monthly cash float report for the Chairman

g.   Monthly MIS & balance sheet schedules

h.   Weekly and monthly cash forecast

i.    Fixed deposits – creation of new FD & Amendments 

a.   Actual staff costs to be shared with the HR department on periodic basis.

Payroll

a.  Payroll reconciliation and uploading in smartbusiness (GCE,GCRE,GCFM & GCI).

Staff advance, annual leave, gratuity and airfare reconciliation.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: 

• Bachelor of commerce with 5-10 years’ experience. Inter-CA preferred but not mandatory.
• Expert on ERP, preferably Oracle Financials.
• Excellent data management and data analysis skills.
• Ability to deliver on timeliness and quality.
