Senior Account Manager
About This Role
Senior Technology Sales Account Manager is required by out market leading IT consulting parter
The successful candidate will be responsible for maximising and driving revenue growth by overseeing a small team of A/Ms selling technology solutions to its banking customer base
This role focuses on managing and overseeing the development of multiple key client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering tailored solutions that meet the digital transformation needs of the banking sector.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management
- Manage and grow relationships with existing banking clients
- Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts
- Develop account plans to increase revenue and client satisfaction
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within banks and financial institutions
- Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
Solution Selling
- Understand client needs and propose appropriate technology solutions (e.g., core banking systems, cybersecurity, cloud, payments platforms)
- Collaborate with pre-sales and technical teams to design customized solutions
- Deliver presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations
Contract & Negotiation
- Lead contract negotiations and pricing discussions
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in the banking sector
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in technology sales, preferably in banking or financial services
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong understanding of banking technology (core banking, fintech, digital channels)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Relationship management and stakeholder engagement
- Negotiation and closing skills
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling to banks in areas like fintech, SaaS, or enterprise IT
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks in banking
- MBA or relevant certifications
