Job Summary
As a Security Systems Engineer, you will actively manage, maintain, and upgrade CCTV, Access Control, and Radio systems across Miral entities to ensure seamless HSSE department operations aligned with core business processes.
Your responsibilities include overseeing installations, diagnostics, compliance enforcement, and technical support for the security team.
You will lead preventative maintenance planning, analyze equipment failures, and collaborate with third-party vendors to enhance efficiency and uphold best practices.
Your role is critical in safeguarding facility security, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining optimal system performance.
Service & Asset Management
- Lead vendor management to ensure efficient service delivery and monitor asset performance while maintaining strict documentation and reporting standards.
- Review and prepare scope of work for new projects and maintenance contracts, ensuring alignment with technical specifications.
Facility & Systems Supervision
- Direct supervision and management of CCTV, Access Control, and Radio Systems to ensure full operational integrity and adherence to ADMCC regulations.
Preventative Maintenance
- Oversee Preventative Maintenance (PM) programs and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) implementation, translating them into a Computer Managed Maintenance System (CMMS).
Equipment & Logistics
- Monitor and manage spare parts inventory for CCTV and Access Control systems to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
- Evaluate third-party PM tasks to adjust schedules dynamically, ensuring systems maintain peak efficiency.
Performance Monitoring & Compliance
- Track third-party KPIs rigorously and enforce response time standards to guarantee system reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to bolster departmental functionality and ensure continuous compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Quality Assurance For Assets
- Uphold the highest standards of quality and performance for all facility and attraction installations.
- Verify that all CCTV and Access Control systems meet regulatory and technical requirements.
Installation & Technical Support
- Oversee installation processes to ensure adherence to contractual specifications, drawings, and performance benchmarks.
- '24/7' Operations Support
- Maintain 24/7 availability for reactive and preventative maintenance, ensuring uninterrupted CCTV and Access Control functionality.
Project Coordination
- Review and approve shop drawings for alignment with project requirements and comprehensive documentation.
Daily Progress & Collaboration
- Coordinate with project teams to synchronize daily work activities and meet project milestones efficiently.
Technical Compliance & Handover
- Conduct testing and commissioning for installed systems, ensuring full compliance and technical handover.
- Support project teams and service providers in preparing technical handover documents.
Performance Optimization
- Enhance system performance by diagnosing issues, troubleshooting outages, scheduling upgrades, and partnering with providers for optimization strategies.
Site Surveys & Documentation
- Execute site surveys as needed and prepare detailed bills of materials.
Technical Troubleshooting
- Provide advanced technical support including diagnostics, investigation, and resolution of hardware and software issues.
Essential
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, or Electronics & Instrumentation) or a relevant 3-year Diploma.
- 4+ years of site experience in UAE/GCC in Security Systems, Networking, and Structured Cabling.
- 3–5 years of experience as an Engineer/Supervisor in security system installation.
- 4–6 years of maintenance site management experience.
- Proficient use of Video Management Servers and Access Control Systems.
- Strong knowledge of CCTV, Access Control systems, network infrastructure, and IP-based technologies.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding).
- Experience in preventative maintenance planning.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to operate in diverse environments, including outdoor settings.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving orientation.
Desirable
- Experience applying Project Management standards.
- Certification in CCTV, ACS, or ELV systems (preferably from reputed manufacturers).
