Security System Technician

Overview

• **Installation & Configuration:** Install and configure various security systems, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, intrusion alarms, and fire alarm systems in accordance with SIRA standards.
• **System Maintenance:** Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of security systems to ensure they are fully operational and compliant with SIRA regulations.
• **Compliance:** Ensure all installations and system configurations meet the Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA) guidelines and other relevant standards.
• **System Testing:** Conduct system testing and commissioning to verify proper operation and functionality of security equipment.
• **Documentation:** Maintain accurate records of installations, service requests, repairs, and system performance. Prepare reports as required by SIRA or the employer.
• **Customer Support:** Provide technical support to clients, addressing their concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• **Training & Guidance:** Train end-users on the proper use and operation of security systems.
• **Coordination:** Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines are met and installations are completed to specification.
• **Site Surveys:** Conduct site surveys to assess security needs, plan installations, and recommend appropriate equipment.
• **Emergency Response:** Be available for on-call emergency support to resolve urgent system issues.
