Security Platform Engineer – Data Protection & Identity

12-Month Extendable Contract

A leading organisation in the UAE is looking for a Security Platform Engineer specialising in Data Protection & Identity to support a large-scale cybersecurity transformation programme.

This role will focus on managing and securing critical platforms across secrets management, PKI, database security, and DLP environments.

The successful candidate will take ownership of key security platforms including HashiCorp Vault, Enterprise PKI, Imperva Database Security, and DLP technologies, ensuring these environments remain secure, highly available, and operationally mature.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain HashiCorp Vault environments including policies, namespaces, audit logging, HA/DR, and secrets engines
  • Manage enterprise PKI environments including certificate lifecycle management, CA hierarchy, CRL/OCSP, and HSM integrations
  • Support Imperva Database Activity Monitoring including policy management, agent deployment, and compliance reporting
  • Operate DLP technologies across endpoint, network, and email channels
  • Integrate security platforms with IAM, SIEM, ITSM, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Support incident response activities related to data exfiltration, certificate outages, secret leakage, and database abuse
  • Develop automation and reporting capabilities across security operations
  • Work closely with engineering and security operations teams to improve platform maturity and reduce operational risk

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Vault, PKI, Imperva, DLP, or equivalent technologies
  • Strong understanding of secrets management, cryptography, database security, and data protection principles
  • Experience integrating security tooling into enterprise environments and DevSecOps pipelines
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Knowledge of NIST CSF, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK, and enterprise security frameworks
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
