Role overview

Premises security and incident response

• Maintain a visible, professional security presence throughout the hotel and surrounding areas.
• Patrol guest areas, back-of-house areas, staff facilities, entrances, parking areas, and other designated locations.
• Monitor access points, restrict access to authorized individuals, and monitor CCTV and other security systems according to hotel procedures.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, alarms, and guest or colleague concerns.
• Prepare accurate, timely incident reports and maintain security records.
• Assist with lost property, suspicious activity, disturbances, and other security concerns; support investigations and provide relevant information to security leadership.
• Control hotel keys, access cards, equipment, and other security-sensitive items.
• Monitor contractor, supplier, and visitor access according to established procedures.

Emergency support and coordination

• Support safe movement of guests and colleagues during emergencies and evacuations, including fire and medical incidents.
• Maintain awareness of hotel activities, VIP movements, and special events that may require added security attention.
• Liaise with local authorities and emergency services when required and under management direction.
• Support other departments as needed to maintain safety and smooth hotel operations.

Experience and competencies

• Experience in hotel security, hospitality security, corporate security, law enforcement, military service, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in a luxury or five-star hotel environment is an advantage.
• Strong observation, situational awareness, communication, and interpersonal skills are sought.
• Professional appearance and conduct, responsibility, and the ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in challenging situations are expected.
• A good understanding of security, safety, and emergency procedures is sought.
• Candidates must be physically capable of regular patrols and remaining active throughout a shift.
• Basic computer skills and accurate security-report writing are required.
• A good command of English is sought; additional languages are an advantage.
