Role overview

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible security presence and patrol hotel areas, staff facilities, entrances, and parking areas.
• Monitor access points, CCTV, and other security systems; control keys, access cards, equipment, and visitor access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, emergencies, and concerns; support investigations and prepare accurate records.
• Help manage lost property, suspicious activity, disturbances, and the safe movement of people during emergencies or evacuations.
• Stay aware of hotel activities, VIP movements, and events; liaise with authorities when directed.
• Follow hotel policies, IHG standards, and local regulations; protect confidential information and assist other departments as needed.

What the role requires

• Previous experience in hotel, hospitality, or corporate security, law enforcement, military service, or a related field is preferred.
• Luxury or five-star hotel experience is an advantage.
• Strong observation, communication, responsibility, and emergency decision-making skills are expected.
• Candidates should understand security, safety, and emergency procedures and be able to communicate with guests, colleagues, contractors, and authorities.
• Candidates must be physically able to patrol and remain active during the shift, and able to complete accurate reports using basic computer skills.
• A good command of English is expected; additional languages are an advantage.
