Security Manager

Position

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily hotel security operations and protect guests, colleagues, visitors, contractors, property, and assets.
• Develop, implement, and review security policies, procedures, and standards; comply with SIRA requirements and Dubai/UAE regulations.
• Manage, train, and develop the security team; prepare duty rosters, assign responsibilities, and maintain security coverage.
• Conduct inspections, patrols, risk assessments, and audits; identify threats and take preventive or corrective action.
• Monitor CCTV, access control, alarms, communications, and other security systems; maintain control of entrances, restricted areas, keys, and access cards.
• Arrange security for VIPs, dignitaries, high-profile visitors, events, and special functions.
• Lead responses to security incidents and emergencies, including evacuations, medical emergencies, suspicious activity, theft, and accidents.
• Investigate incidents, losses, theft, damage, complaints, and irregularities; prepare accurate incident reports, investigation reports, daily logs, and management reports.
• Coordinate with SIRA, Dubai Police, Dubai Civil Defence, hotel departments, and relevant authorities.
• Support fire and life-safety programs and emergency drills; deliver security awareness and emergency response training.
• Maintain confidentiality of incidents, investigations, VIP information, and other sensitive matters; review and improve procedures.
• Manage lost-and-found security procedures and documentation; coordinate security equipment repairs and follow-up.

Candidate requirements

• A valid SIRA Security Manager Licence is mandatory.
• At least five years of relevant security experience; five-star or luxury hotel experience is preferred.
• At least two years in a Security Manager, Assistant Security Manager, or equivalent senior security position.
• Strong knowledge of hotel security operations, risk management, emergency response, incident investigation, and loss prevention.
• Strong working knowledge of SIRA requirements and Dubai security regulations.
• Experience with CCTV, access control, security systems, and surveillance operations.
• Proven experience leading and developing a multicultural security team.
• Excellent communication, leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and security reporting systems.
• Qualifications in security, fire safety, first aid, emergency management, or risk management are an advantage.

Working conditions

• Flexible hours according to hotel operational requirements.
• Availability for shifts, weekends, public holidays, and emergency situations is required.

Workplace

• The role is based at Cheval Maison The Palm, Dubai, and involves hotel operations and regular interaction with guests and colleagues.
