Responsibilities
- What you’ll be doing
- You'll provide proactive support to senior executives, helping them manage demanding schedules and balancing competing priorities in a way that enables them to focus on leading their teams and delivering results. From coordinating complex diaries, meetings and travel arrangements to preparing important papers and communications, you'll ensure every detail is handled professionally and efficiently.
- You'll work with a broad network of stakeholders across Nationwide, building trusted relationships and acting as a key point of contact for executives and their teams. No two days will look exactly the same. One day you might be coordinating a board meeting or supporting a large stakeholder event, the next you'll be responding to changing priorities, resolving scheduling challenges or helping prepare materials for important discussions. Throughout it all, you'll bring organisation, attention to detail and sound judgement, particularly when handling confidential and sensitive information.
- As part of a wider executive support community, you'll collaborate closely with colleagues, sharing knowledge, providing cover when needed and helping to maintain a consistently high standard of support across the team.
- About you
- As a minimum you’ll have:
- Proven experience supporting senior leaders or managing complex administrative activities in a fast paced environment
- Experience managing multiple priorities, coordinating competing demands and consistently delivering high quality work to tight deadlines
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience building effective working relationships across a range of seniority levels
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word, with working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience handling confidential, sensitive or commercially important information with discretion and sound judgement
- The ability to work independently, make informed decisions and adapt quickly when priorities change
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with experience coordinating meetings, events, travel or executive activities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to represent senior stakeholders in a professional manner
- Our customer first behaviours put customers and members at the heart of how we work together. They are the set of behaviours that every colleague needs to display, in every role:
- Feel what customers feel - We step into our customers’ shoes, using their feedback and insights to empathise with them and to understand their needs, so that every decision we make starts and finishes with our customers in mind
- Say it straight - We are brave in speaking out and saying what we think – we’re honest and direct with good intent, openly sharing diverse perspectives to reach the best conclusions and using language everyone can understand
- Push for better - We don’t settle for mediocrity, we challenge the status quo, taking responsibility for continuous improvement and personal development
- Get it done - We prioritise what will have the greatest impact, we are decisive, and we take accountability for delivering brilliant customer outcomes
- You can strengthen your application by showing how our customer first behaviours resonate with you, and where you may have already demonstrated these.
