Role overview

Brunel is seeking experienced Scraper and Final Trim Operators for the Haul Roads Project in Weipa, Far North Queensland.

The role supports a fast-paced civil earthworks environment and is rostered on a 2/1 day-shift-only schedule.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate scraper equipment for bulk earthworks and haul road construction.
  • Perform final trim work using a grader, dozer, or excavator.
  • Assist with other machinery as required.
  • Maintain safety, quality, and production standards.
  • Operate GPS systems.

Requirements

  • Proven scraper operating experience on civil or mining projects, including equipment such as 627 or 637.
  • Proven final trim operating experience on an excavator, dozer, or grader.
  • Relevant RII tickets and a valid driver's licence.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen.
  • Strong commitment to site safety and teamwork.

Compensation and benefits

  • The role pays $70.65 per hour plus superannuation and bonus.

Roster and project location

  • The project is the Haul Roads Project in Weipa, Far North Queensland.
  • The roster is 2 weeks on and 1 week off, with day shifts only.
