SAP S/4HANA Financial Officer

About This Role

Dubai / Gate Precinct Building 4 Do you enjoy working in a small team with flat hierarchies and a desire to make a difference? For our Finance department, we are looking for an internationally oriented senior member for our accounting hub who will be supporting multiple legal entities across the APAC region. This is a hands‑on role combining operational accounting execution with analysis and process improvement. What would your role be?

• Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Prepare and post journal entries in SAP S/4HANA, including accruals, provisions, and adjustments as part of the month‑end close.
• Own the general ledger for assigned legal entities, including maintenance of accounting schedules and balance sheet reconciliations, consolidated financial statements, cash flow reports, and budget reports.
• Execute day‑to‑day accounting activities while ensuring high standards of accuracy, controls, and documentation.
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide clear, insightful commentary on Profit & Loss and balance sheet movements.
• Identify and drive process improvements, strengthen controls, and deliver analytical insights beyond standard bookkeeping.
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and proper recording of all financial transactions.

What are we looking for?

• 8-10 years’ accounting experience within a multinational environment in the financial services industry.
• Practical working experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, month-end close processes, and financial reporting cycles.
• High level of ownership, accountability, and reliability.
• Hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented approach to work.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
