Role overview

Core responsibilities

• Lead SAP AMS delivery across incidents, requests, problems, changes, enhancements, releases, and operational improvement.
• Own major incidents from impact assessment and triage through communications, workarounds, root-cause analysis, and prevention.
• Direct L2/L3 support teams and establish procedures, escalation paths, coverage, resource plans, and quality standards.
• Ensure reliable production, quality, material, equipment, labor, serialization, and genealogy data exchange.
• Approve solution designs, specifications, mappings, developments, interfaces, test evidence, deployment plans, and rollbacks.
• Lead monitoring, performance tuning, interface reconciliation, batch governance, defect reduction, and support automation.
• Coordinate across manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, technology, security, and vendor teams.
• Manage service levels, KPIs, service reviews, risk, capacity, priorities, releases, and executive reporting.
• Support continuity, disaster recovery, audits, access reviews, vulnerability remediation, patching, and evidence retention.
• Mentor consultants and act as escalation point for complex SAP manufacturing and MES issues.

SAP and MES expertise

• Strong SAP manufacturing process knowledge, including PP, PP-PI, MM, QM, PM, EWM or WM, and MES integration.
• Deep experience with SAP Manufacturing Execution, SAP Digital Manufacturing, SAP MII, or leading third-party MES products.
• Design and support experience with discrete, repetitive, or complex manufacturing processes, traceability, serialization, quality, rework, and as-built records.
• Knowledge of integration technologies including IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, APIs, web services, OData, event messaging, and middleware.
• Working knowledge of ABAP developments, enhancements, forms, workflows, Fiori, interface monitoring, and transport/release management.
• Experience with ITSM and monitoring platforms such as ServiceNow, SAP Solution Manager, SAP Cloud ALM, or equivalents.

Required experience and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
• 15–18 years of SAP experience, including substantial leadership in manufacturing implementation, support, or AMS.
• At least seven years of MES experience covering architecture, integration, production support, and improvement.
• Experience leading complex, business-critical SAP AMS services with distributed teams and multiple vendors.
• Strong ITIL, service governance, incident, problem, change, release, and continual-improvement knowledge.
• Experience with high-availability manufacturing and plant, engineering, quality, and operational technology stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, negotiation, and senior stakeholder-management skills.
• Professional English proficiency; Arabic capability is advantageous.
• On-site UAE availability and ability to support outside standard business hours when required.

Preferred credentials and experience

• Preferred SAP certification in S/4HANA Manufacturing, Production Planning, Digital Manufacturing, Manufacturing Execution, or a related area.
• ITIL 4 Foundation or higher certification is preferred.
• Architecture, integration, project management, information security, or operational technology security certification or practical exposure is preferred.
• Experience with defence, aerospace, aviation, regulated engineering, or critical-infrastructure customers is preferred.
• Experience with controlled manufacturing, configuration management, serialization, genealogy, maintenance, calibration, and quality documentation is preferred.

Security and work conditions

• Follow customer security policies, data-classification rules, least-privilege access, secure administration, and need-to-know principles.
• Changes must be authorized, tested, documented, traceable, and supported by audit evidence.
• Support applicable UAE information assurance, data-protection, cybersecurity, export-control, and customer defence requirements.
• Observe restrictions on data residency, remote access, removable media, offshore support, production connectivity, and sensitive information disclosure.
• Customer background verification, security screening, and access authorization may be required.
• Scheduled or emergency support outside standard business hours may be required.
