Role overview

The Salesforce Licence Administrator governs Salesforce licences and user access across the organisation.

The role connects Salesforce administration with IT asset management, procurement, finance, and vendor management.

The position is a renewable 12-month contract.

Licence management and governance

  • Manage and optimise user, platform, feature, and add-on licences for business needs and cost objectives.
  • Monitor utilisation and adoption, then reclaim, reassign, or deactivate licences under internal policies.
  • Own renewal planning, true-ups, and forecasting for new licence needs.
  • Maintain inventories, entitlement records, and supporting documentation across Salesforce accounts and environments.
  • Support licence audits, compliance reviews, and governance activities.

Reporting and user access

  • Create dashboards and reports on allocation, utilisation, adoption, costs, and trends; provide management metrics on cost per user and savings.
  • Support provisioning and deprovisioning, profiles, permission sets, and role management.
  • Identify savings opportunities and recommend licence types, editions, and allocations based on usage and business needs.
  • Coordinate with business and technology teams to forecast licence capacity.

Commercial coordination

  • Work with Salesforce account executives, procurement, finance, and internal stakeholders on renewals, commercial negotiations, purchases, and contract requirements.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of Salesforce administration experience.
  • Hands-on experience managing Salesforce licences, editions, and renewals.
  • Experience with multiple Salesforce orgs or a multi-account setup.
  • Strong Salesforce reporting and dashboard skills.
  • Knowledge of user management, profiles, permission sets, and security settings.
  • Strong Excel skills for licence tracking and cost analysis.
  • Clear communication skills, including presenting metrics to non-technical stakeholders.
