Sales Trainee

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Upon completion of the sales training program, the trainee will have gained product and operational knowledge and learned the sales process by:
• Developing a working knowledge of the company’s operations through various departmental assignments; and the completion of the sales trainee programs and product training offered.
• Actively participating in company sponsored training sessions, scheduled sales meetings, and division functions.
• Traveling with assigned sales representatives or sales mentor(s) attending sales and service calls.
• Practicing the sales process by making sales calls with experienced sales representatives.
• Supporting assigned sales representatives or sales mentor(s) in providing service to current accounts and in the development of new accounts.
• Acquiring system knowledge and competence, both operational and informational, to perform all functions at a professional level.
• Updating knowledge by reviewing new product developments and sales techniques on an ongoing basis.
• Completing training assignments in a timely manner.
• Learning to develop and maintain relationships with current and potential customers.
• Supporting all company policies and fostering a positive working environment with fellow employees and customers.
• KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
• College degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and MS Outlook helpful.
• A strong general knowledge of business and customer service.
• Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
