Role overview
Develop technical service sales for motors, generators, alternators, DC machines and related electrical rotating equipment.
Sales and customer development
- Identify and qualify opportunities, develop accounts and build repeat and contract business.
- Visit customers, assess sites and equipment, and coordinate inspections with field service and workshop teams.
- Prepare technical-commercial offers and manage RFQs, tenders, clarifications and submissions.
- Negotiate terms, close orders and meet revenue and profitability targets.
- Maintain CRM pipeline, visit reports, quotation status and sales forecasts.
- Hand over orders to operations and follow through on job progress, satisfaction and payment collection.
- Monitor market, competitor, installed-base and customer investment opportunities.
- Follow company approval, contractual, HSE, quality and ethical requirements.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least five years of relevant technical sales or business development experience and a record of meeting sales targets.
- Sound knowledge of rotating equipment, repair, rewinding, balancing, testing, failure analysis and field maintenance.
- Proficiency in CRM/ERP systems, SAP and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel and a valid driver’s license.
Commercial and technical skills
- Interpret RFQs and specifications, develop proposals, estimate costs, manage margins, negotiate and close orders.
- Coordinate effectively across customers, workshop, field service, engineering, procurement and finance.
- UAE experience with marine, oil and gas, utilities, power generation, water or industrial customers is preferred.
- Arabic-speaking capability is an advantage.
