Role overview
The Sales Manager develops corporate relationships, identifies new business, and positions InterContinental Doha for business travel, meetings, and corporate events.
The role focuses on revenue growth, client satisfaction, and contributing to the Sales & Marketing team.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to attract and retain corporate accounts.
- Manage existing key accounts and pursue new business opportunities.
- Conduct sales calls, client meetings, site inspections, and participate in trade shows or networking events.
- Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and follow up promptly to close deals.
- Coordinate with hotel departments to meet client needs and exceed expectations.
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and client feedback to identify opportunities and risks.
- Maintain accurate sales activity and account records using the hotel CRM system.
Experience and skills
- At least 3–5 years in a similar Sales Manager role; luxury hospitality experience focused on corporate clients is preferred.
- Demonstrated achievement of sales targets and key-account management.
- A strong local and regional corporate network is highly desirable.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent English is required; Arabic is a plus.
- Self-motivated, energetic, results-driven, and strategically minded.
- Familiarity with Opera Sales & Catering or Delphi is an advantage.
