Role overview

Main tasks

• Welcome, assist and engage customers, understand their needs and provide positive service.
• Meet each customer's needs with kindness and creativity, treating everyone with respect and professionalism.
• Share knowledge of core sports and products and enthusiasm for the environment.
• Contribute to customer service, merchandising, store operations, events and environmental activism.
• Check and replenish stock, operate the cash register, and maintain merchandise by folding, hanging, steaming and stocking.
• Represent the brand in the store and community and help engage customers.

What the employer is looking for

• Strong customer service and sales skills and previous retail or related customer service experience.
• Fluent English; additional language fluency is an advantage.
• Working computer knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Self-motivated, proactive, organized and accurate, with attention to detail and effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and respond positively to changing business needs.
• Patagonia product experience or knowledge is an advantage.
• Appreciation of the outdoors and interest in making a positive environmental impact.

Hours

• The source title specifies 24 working hours; the role is part-time.

Benefits

• 33 days of annual leave, pro-rated for part-time work; a paid Field Day; and a pension scheme with a 9% employer contribution if the contract exceeds six months.
