Job Summary

The Sales Associate is responsible for assisting customers, maintaining proper product display, monitoring stock availability, and supporting the daily operations of the hypermarket section assigned.

The role requires good customer service, product knowledge, and teamwork to ensure smooth store operations and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities Customer Service

  • Assist customers in locating products and answering inquiries politely.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a friendly attitude.
  • Promote ongoing offers, promotions, and featured items.
  • Handle customer concerns and refer major issues to the supervisor when necessary.

Sales Floor Operations

  • Arrange and replenish stocks on shelves and display areas.
  • Ensure products are properly labeled with correct prices and barcodes.
  • Monitor product expiry dates and report damaged or expired items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned section.
  • Ensure shelves and displays are fully stocked and presentable at all times.

Inventory & Stock Handling

  • Assist during stock receiving and checking.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse or stock team for replenishment.
  • Support inventory counting and stock verification activities.
  • Report low stock or fast-moving items to the supervisor.

Operational Support

  • Follow company policies, safety procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Cooperate with supervisors and team members to achieve sales and operational targets.
  • Assist in preparing displays during promotions, seasonal events, and special occasions.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the management related to store operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in retail, supermarket, or hypermarket operations is an advantage.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays if required.
