The Owner provides strategic leadership and oversight of the institute’s vision, mission, and long-term objectives in aerospace research and innovation.

The role works with executive management, senior researchers, and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Guide organizational strategy, approve major research directions, and align them with national and international aerospace priorities.
- Help secure funding, build partnerships, and support high-impact research projects.
- Review performance indicators and make high-level decisions on resource allocation.
- Oversee risk management and compliance with regulations and standards.
- Represent INCAS at high-level meetings, conferences, and negotiations.
- Foster ethical conduct, scientific excellence, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership and governance skills, including strategic planning, decision-making, and organizational oversight.
- Strong aerospace, engineering, scientific, or technical background and understanding of research and innovation.
- Experience managing partnerships, contracts, and stakeholders across government, industry, and academia.
- Financial and business acumen, including budget oversight, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and representation skills.
- Commitment to ethical standards, diversity and inclusion, and supportive multidisciplinary leadership.
- An advanced degree in a related field is highly beneficial; senior or executive experience is preferred.
- Fluency in English and Romanian.
