Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Safety Officer to join a plant/oil & gas project in Sohar, Oman.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards at the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor site safety procedures and HSE policies
- Conduct daily site inspections and hazard identification
- Ensure compliance with plant/oil & gas safety standards
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training sessions
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and prepare reports
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices
- Coordinate with site teams to maintain a safe working environment
- Maintain HSE documentation and reports
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Plant / Oil & Gas industry
- Strong knowledge of HSE standards and procedures
- Experience in site safety supervision and compliance
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Relevant safety certifications preferred
