Description
Middle River Regional Jail is currently accepting applications for full-time RN positions. .Applicants must be willing to work in a secure environment providing medical services to inmates. RNs will be responsible for inmate intake health screenings, medical evaluations, sick call, infirmary duties, and medication administration.
A benefit package includes a salary commiserate with experience, VRS retirement, vacation time, sick time, paid holidays, and health insurance.
Applicants must possess and maintain a valid unrestricted Virginia State Board of Nursing License and be able to pass a criminal history check.
Requirements
- 1. Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
- 2. Must be a citizen of the United States or legally employable in the United States.
- 3. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Medical Professionals required.
- 4. Completion of an accredited nursing program leading to a license as a Registered Nurse, preferably a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- 5. Must possess a license to practice as a Registered Nurse issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
