Description
Middle River Regional Jail is now hiring for the position of Information Technology Manager. This is an administrative and supervisory position involving the management of information technology systems, equipment, and staff resources for the department. The Information Technology Manager is responsible for directing and supervising staff assigned, network infrastructure, software applications, and equipment functions of the Jail information technology systems, and oversight of security network operations at the facility. This position will be located at the facility and is not a remote position.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- 1. Maintains all Jail technology infrastructure systems, servers, backups, security/surveillance, software applications, and inmate technology networks and peripherals.
- 2. Works with managers to identify and analyze technology solutions for information systems for security systems and other administrative software solutions
8. Serves as a liaison between other departments, courts, or any other agency as needed.
9. Completes and/or reviews employee performance standard evaluations, training documents, and reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with jail policies.
10. This is a full time, on-site position. Regular hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This position is not remote and requires the position to be available for occasional call-ins as needed.
Requirements
- 1. Associate Degree from an accredited college or university with major course emphasis on Information Technology, Information Security, Networking, Data Analysis, or related fields.
2. Strong knowledge of network protocols, security protocols and infrastructure technologies
3. Thorough experience in information technology with public, private, or military agency, three (3) years of which must be at a supervisory level.
