The client seeks coordinated programme risk management, project delivery oversight, common standards, and effective management of project interdependencies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and monitor risk, issue, and opportunity management processes, including a risk matrix, Risk Management Plan, Risk Log, and governance.
- Track, evaluate, reassess, manage, and communicate significant risks across the programme, including internal, external, and inter-programme risks.
- Manage dependencies and related issues; coordinate discussions and agreements to realize opportunities.
- Review the Risk Log against programme status reports and meetings.
- Provide timely project status information, monitor progress, and drive delivery, challenging or accelerating projects where appropriate.
- Promote project coherence and manage interdependencies across projects.
- Support legal and commercial standards, supplier value for money, transfer of client knowledge and skills, and best-practice project processes.
Candidate requirements
- At least 20 years of risk management experience, including at least three years as a Risk Manager in construction or engineering.
- Rail or metro experience is required.
- Graduate qualification in engineering, business, or equivalent; postgraduate qualifications or equivalent are noted.
- Risk management qualification or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience with complex projects, a risk management track record, and strong leadership, communication, and management skills.
