Responsibilities
- Ensure workforce compliance with identified HSE standards (e.g. following of specific procedures, correct use of equipment and PPE);
- Participate in investigations, inspections and reporting of HSE matters within the area assigned;
- Ensure the correct implementation of all Client and TR HSE plans and procedures related to Risk Coordination;
- Ensure that site personnel are sufficiently competent, informed and equipped to be able to carry out their work without presenting risk to themselves orothers;
- Carry out site safety inductions;
- Coordinate and train subordinates assigned to his/her area;
- Monitor and ensure that usage of machinery, equipment, etc. is being correctly carried out;
- Ensure the maintenance of temporary equipment, (e.g. power, potable water, industrial water, toilet facilities) and monitor general housekeeping standards and hygiene within site buildings;
- Ensure that the correct controls are enforced with respect to the handling of hazardous chemicals and substances;
- Ensure that all accidents, incidents and near-misses are reported;
- Carry out inspections of worksites, equipment, vehicles, machinery, and personal protective equipment.
- Verify that associated documentation / certification (including Permits to Work) is correct;
- Ensure HSE training on tasks, equipment and site procedures;
- Ensure personnel training to lead or participate in risk assessments and toolbox talks;
- Maintain records, reports and documents to meet company or regulatory HSE requirements;
- Ensure the Permit to Work (PTW) system is followed where applicable;
- Coordinate the installation of safety barriers, signals and control access to areas when a sudden hazard appears;
- Always stop an activity when there is an imminent risk to persons or the environment.
Requirements
- **Minimum 10 years**
- of relevant HSE experience, within large-scale EPC, Oil & Gas, or industrial constructionprojects.
- Bachelor's Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline;
- Internationally recognized HSE qualification.
