Risk Analyst

Role overview

What you will do

• Research trends, outliers, patterns, and insights related to payments performance and fraudulent or suspicious customer transactions.
• Recommend next steps to senior leadership for accounts presenting fraud or risk exposure.
• Assess risk alerts using analytical tools and prioritize them according to severity.
• Use data insights to develop risk policies aligned with departmental objectives and customer and company value.
• Work with Product, Engineering, and CX teams on fraud process design, monitoring, reporting, and best practices.

What you need to succeed

• Exceptional research and investigative skills and strong, empathetic communication that does not bias risk assessments.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively and manage work streams with minimal oversight.
• Awareness of payment platforms and related operational procedures.
• Understanding of NACHA and Card Association rules, including returns, reversals, and chargebacks.
• Awareness of relevant compliance laws and regulations.
• Ability to learn and responsibly integrate AI tools into daily work.

Compensation

• The salary range is $79,100–$105,000, with possible discretionary bonus eligibility.

Workplace and employment

• This is a permanent, full-time, fully remote position.
• Indianapolis employees may work from company headquarters.
