Rheumatologist

Overview

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose patients with rheumatologic and musculoskeletal disorders
• Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans including medication management and physical therapies
• Perform necessary procedures such as joint aspirations and injections
• Educate patients and families about disease processes and management strategies
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Participate in clinical research to enhance rheumatology practices
• Maintain thorough and accurate medical documentation
• Provide compassionate care and support through all stages of treatment

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification in Rheumatology is required
• Valid and current medical license to practice
• Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in Rheumatology
• Strong knowledge of rheumatic diseases and evidence-based treatments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Dedicated to continuous professional development
• Fluent in English; additional language skills are advantageous
