Role overview

The Revenue Manager works with Sales, Marketing, and Reservations to improve hotel revenue performance.

The role develops strategies, manages inventory, collaborates on forecasts and pricing, and contributes to revenue-management practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop hotel revenue strategies and monitor competitor pricing and market trends.
  • Lead weekly or bi-weekly revenue meetings using reporting insights.
  • Forecast topline revenue and identify incremental profit opportunities across revenue centers.
  • Review performance and optimize pricing and inventory.
  • Coach and develop junior revenue-management colleagues.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Finance, Front Office, and Reservations to meet revenue goals.
  • Grow competitive market share and optimize RevPAR through effective system use.
  • Apply distribution-channel and online travel agency knowledge to improve hotel profits.
  • Maintain data quality and system hygiene across revenue-management and distribution applications.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of revenue-management experience.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic decision-making ability.
  • Proficiency in revenue-management principles.
  • IDeaS Revenue Management Platform experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of distribution channels, online travel agencies, and market trends.
  • Collaborative, forward-thinking approach to internal and external stakeholder engagement.
