The Restaurant Manager oversees restaurant operations to deliver dining experiences in line with hotel standards.
The role includes managing service quality, leading and developing the restaurant team, ensuring regulatory compliance, meeting financial targets, and maintaining guest satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily restaurant operations and ensure efficient service.
- Lead, motivate, train, and develop restaurant team members; oversee schedules, attendance, and performance.
- Anticipate and respond to guest needs, monitor service standards, and resolve complaints.
- Manage inventory, purchasing, cost control, budgets, and revenue forecasts.
- Ensure food safety, hygiene, and health compliance; collaborate with the culinary team on food quality and timely service.
- Prepare operational reports and support revenue-driving marketing initiatives, promotions, and events.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or diploma in hospitality management, hotel management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of restaurant management experience; luxury hotel or fine dining experience is preferred.
- Proven leadership experience managing multicultural teams and strong knowledge of food and beverage operations and service standards.
- Familiarity with budgeting, cost control, inventory management, and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills; able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in restaurant POS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent English required; additional languages are advantageous.
- Food safety, hygiene, and local health-regulation knowledge is preferred.
