Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Research Assistant to join a funded research project on AI-assisted Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) in English–Arabic contexts.
The project focuses on developing an adaptive MTPE platform, integrating AI literacy into translation education, and producing high-impact research outputs.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Translation Studies, Applied Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, or related field
Preferred Qualification
Master’s degree in Translation Studies, Applied Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, or related field
Expected Skills
- Support research design, data collection, and experiment implementation
- Annotate translation data (English–Arabic) using quality assessment frameworks (e.g., MQM)
- Assist in building and managing an annotated MTPE corpus
- Support analysis of user interaction data from the MTPE platform
- Contribute to literature reviews, reports, and academic publications
- Assist in developing AI literacy teaching materials
