Research and Insights Director

About This Role

We’re partnering with a leading global strategic advisory firm to appoint a Research & Insights Director — a critical leadership role acting as the right hand to the Head of Research.

This is an opportunity to sit at the intersection of data, strategy, and client advisory , shaping how research translates into real commercial and reputational impact.

The Role

As a senior operator, you will lead end-to-end research programs , from methodology design through to insight delivery. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, advising on the best research approaches while ensuring outputs are sharp, actionable, and commercially grounded.

This role requires someone who is equally comfortable designing research frameworks, managing delivery, and presenting to clients at a senior level .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle research projects (quantitative & qualitative) from design to delivery
• Advise clients on research methodologies aligned to business and strategic objectives
• Translate complex datasets into clear, compelling, and commercially relevant insights
• Manage and oversee external research agencies and partners
• Ensure quality, rigor, and consistency across all research outputs
• Support the Head of Research in driving team performance and capability building
• Present findings and recommendations to senior client stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience in primary research (agency or in-house)
• Proven ability to run end-to-end research programs independently
• Experience managing external vendors / research agencies
• Highly client-facing with strong stakeholder management skills
• Ability to connect insights to commercial, strategic, or reputational outcomes
• Excellent storytelling and presentation skills
• Experience within consulting, advisory, communications, or insights-led environments is a plus
