Overview

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking an accomplished Commercial Director for the RES-158 project within our residential development portfolio.

This leadership role demands a strategic and commercially astute professional to oversee all commercial activities associated with the residential developments, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, on budget, and meet quality standards.

The Commercial Director will be responsible for managing contract negotiations, procurement, risk management, and financial performance, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.

This role requires a hands-on approach to managing commercial teams and fostering innovation and excellence within the commercial function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute commercial strategies for the RES-158 residential project
  • Manage all commercial aspects including procurement, contract administration, and commercial risk mitigation
  • Lead negotiations with contractors, suppliers, and any third parties to ensure favorable terms
  • Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting to meet cost efficiency targets
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms, company policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with project management and other departments to align commercial objectives with project goals
  • Oversee and develop the commercial team, enhancing their capabilities and performance
  • Provide timely and accurate reports on commercial performance and project status to senior management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • At least 15 years of progressive experience in commercial management
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience within the Middle East/GCC region.
  • Must have at least 3 years of client-side experience.
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience in residential development/projects, whether with developers, consultants, or contractors
  • Strong skills in contract negotiation, procurement, and commercial risk management
  • Excellent leadership and team management capabilities
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Professional qualifications such as MRICS or equivalent are preferred
