The Renewable Energy Engineer supports the development, design, and implementation of sustainable energy solutions.
The role evaluates energy requirements, designs renewable energy systems, conducts technical assessments, and supports projects that improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
The engineer collaborates with project managers, technical specialists, contractors, and other stakeholders to meet performance, safety, quality, and budget requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Design and evaluate renewable energy systems, including solar, wind, and other sustainable energy technologies.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, energy audits, and technical evaluations.
- Analyze energy production, system performance, equipment specifications, and operating costs.
- Develop engineering plans, technical reports, project documentation, and system design proposals.
- Coordinate equipment selection, installation, testing, and commissioning with suppliers, contractors, and project teams.
- Monitor project progress, resolve technical issues, and support reliable system operation.
- Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize renewable energy performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, technical requirements, and environmental regulations.
- Research emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions for future energy projects.
Qualifications and skills
- Candidates should have a background in electrical, mechanical, energy, environmental, or renewable energy engineering.
- Knowledge of solar photovoltaic systems, wind energy technologies, energy storage, power distribution, and energy management is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, communication, and project coordination skills are essential.
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings, evaluate technical data, prepare reports, and work with multidisciplinary teams is highly valued.
- Familiarity with engineering software, simulation tools, and renewable energy monitoring systems is beneficial.
