  • Build responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile; test across screen sizes and browsers and correct basic visual issues.
  • Implement interactive features, forms, events, dynamic content, and basic validation; learn to integrate components with approved APIs.
  • Assist with React, Vue, or Angular features as project needs dictate, following project structure and coding conventions.
  • Collaborate with designers on usability, accessibility, navigation, and consistent visual presentation.

Testing, workflow, and collaboration

  • Test functionality and usability, identify visual defects and broken links, debug basic front-end issues, and retest corrected features.
  • Use version control, organize code changes, participate in pull requests and reviews, and follow established testing and submission procedures.
  • Maintain task and technical documentation, report progress and issues, and support routine website maintenance and content updates.
  • Collaborate remotely through email, chat, and virtual meetings; participate in standups, onboarding, training, and code reviews.

Required qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; a computer science degree is not required.
  • Foundational HTML, CSS, and JavaScript knowledge; basic responsive-design and website-structure understanding.
  • Familiarity with browsers and developer tools; ability to read and modify basic front-end code.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, organization, and time-management abilities.
  • Willingness to learn tools and frameworks, follow instructions and coding standards, accept feedback, and work independently remotely.
  • Reliable internet connection and suitable remote workspace.

Preferred qualifications

  • Familiarity with React, Vue, Angular, Git/GitHub, TypeScript, CSS Flexbox/Grid, Bootstrap/Tailwind, REST APIs/JSON, Figma, accessibility, performance optimization, testing tools, code editors, or Agile workflows may be beneficial.
  • Projects, coursework, bootcamps, online training, independent learning, personal websites, repositories, freelance projects, and open-source contributions may demonstrate relevant knowledge.
  • Previous professional development experience is not required.

What the employer offers

  • Depending on employment status, location, and eligibility, benefits may include remote work, junior-level compensation, paid onboarding and training, mentorship, and real-world project experience.
  • Potential offerings include code reviews, learning modern frameworks, professional development, certification opportunities, paid time off, and company holidays.

Application process

  • Applicants may include GitHub repositories, personal websites, portfolios, or coding projects; a portfolio is helpful but not mandatory.
  • Qualified applicants may be invited to a virtual interview and brief technical assessment covering web fundamentals, responsive design, debugging, and problem-solving.
