The Company

CXC Upstream is a vertically integrated mining group and one of the region’s leading gold producers, with a substantial operating footprint in Geita, one of Tanzania’s most prolific gold-producing regions.

The Group owns and operates four mining sites, including a major mountain-based gold asset supported by more than 50 years of demonstrable gold reserves.

Its operations extend across the entire mining value chain.

Alongside its mining assets, the Group owns a dedicated precious metals processing facility, maintains its own fleet of specialist mining machinery and has dedicated private aviation capability to support the efficient movement of personnel, equipment and resources across its operations.

About The Role

The Relationship Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders across CXC Upstream's mining operations.

Acting as a trusted point of contact, you will work collaboratively with suppliers, contractors, service providers and business partners to ensure effective communication, operational alignment and the delivery of high-quality services that support the Group's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, contractors and key business stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring timely communication and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with procurement, operations and project teams to ensure services are delivered in accordance with contractual and operational requirements.
  • Monitor stakeholder satisfaction and identify opportunities to strengthen partnerships and improve service delivery.
  • Coordinate meetings, performance reviews and regular engagement with key partners.
  • Manage escalations professionally, facilitating timely resolution of operational or commercial issues.
  • Maintain accurate stakeholder records, correspondence and engagement plans.
  • Support the implementation of supplier performance management and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in relationship management, account management, stakeholder engagement or commercial operations, ideally within mining, industrial services, infrastructure or engineering.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams in a dynamic operational environment.
  • Professional, commercially aware and solutions-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM or stakeholder management systems is advantageous.
