Registered Nurse (RN)

Role purpose

Clinical care

• Provide home nursing care according to physician-prescribed treatment and care plans.
• Assess patients, monitor vital signs, identify clinical changes, and promptly report concerns to physicians.
• Perform nursing procedures within professional licensure and demonstrated competency.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to physician instructions and medication safety policies.
• Collect ordered blood and other clinical specimens within the scope of professional licensure.
• Verify patient identity before providing healthcare services or performing clinical procedures.

Safety, documentation, and education

• Accurately document home visits, assessments, procedures, treatments, and clinical observations in medical records.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures, including sterilization and appropriate use of PPE.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, home care, and warning signs requiring medical attention.
• Report emergencies or sudden deterioration immediately and follow approved emergency protocols.
• Maintain and safely handle medical equipment and supplies, and dispose of medical waste and sharps according to safety policies.

Coordination and conduct

• Coordinate with physicians, medical coordinators, and healthcare team members to support continuity of care.
• Protect patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality; disclose information only to authorized personnel.
• Follow assigned visit schedules and clinic administrative and operational policies.
• Participate in quality improvement activities, internal audits, and service improvement initiatives.
• Perform other relevant duties assigned by management within professional scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Valid professional nursing license issued by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Previous experience in home healthcare or clinical nursing is preferred.
• Good knowledge of infection prevention, control procedures, and patient safety.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and demonstrate professional responsibility.
• Commitment to medical confidentiality and professional ethics.

Working hours

• Working hours follow the schedule approved by management and are based on patient needs and home visit appointments.

Work location

• Work is in person and nursing care is provided in patients’ homes.
