Responsible for the implementation and delivery of age appropriate patient care congruent with the mission, vision and values of the organisation.

Collaborates with nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams on effective patient management.

Liaise with other health care providers as necessary to ensure appropriate and timely interventions for patients and for discharge planning.

Provides a comprehensive clinical handover / report as required to ensure patient safety using SBAR principles.

Establish priorities of care, nursing actions and desired outcomes in a timely manner.

Good knowledge of contemporary nursing practices.

Manages clinical and operational activities and ensure the provision of optimum clinical care, customer satisfaction and patient safety.

Demonstrate ability to adapt to varied age-specific patient populations.

Demonstrate maturity and accountability for job performance.

Maintains an effective rapport with patients, visitors, physicians, subordinates and other directors.

Good judgment and analytical ability in preparing work for review.
