Overview
Perform orthopedic surgical procedures, utilizing advanced surgical techniques and adhering to safety standards.
Evaluate patient medical histories, diagnostic tests, and imaging studies to determine appropriate surgical interventions.
Diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions through comprehensive physical examinations and diagnostic assessments.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, preferences, and medical considerations, incorporating medication, physical therapy, and other non-surgical interventions when appropriate.
Educate patients and families about orthopedic conditions, treatment options, and post-operative care instructions.
Monitor patient progress before, during, and after surgery, addressing any complications or concerns that may arise.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and primary care physicians, to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.
Consult with colleagues from related specialties, such as radiology, rheumatology, and neurology, to obtain comprehensive assessments and treatment recommendations.
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and case conferences to discuss complex patient cases and develop coordinated treatment plans.
