🔍 Job Summary
The Registered Nurse – Outpatient provides professional nursing care to patients in an outpatient/ambulatory setting.
Responsibilities
- include assessing patient needs, coordinating care, administering treatments and medications, assisting with procedures, and educating patients and families on health management.
- The role ensures quality, safe, and compassionate care in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational policies while supporting physicians and the healthcare team.
- 🛠 Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in an outpatient/ambulatory setting.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with physicians and the healthcare team.
- Administer medications, injections, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist physicians with outpatient procedures and diagnostic tests.
- Monitor and document patient condition, vital signs, and progress in medical records.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, lifestyle modifications, and follow-up care.
- Maintain infection control, safety, and quality standards at all times.
- Support patient triage and prioritize care based on urgency.
- Coordinate referrals, follow-up appointments, and continuity of care.
- Ensure proper handling of equipment, supplies, and clinical resources.
- 🎓 Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable country/state.
- Minimum of 2 years’ clinical nursing experience, preferably in an outpatient
- Strong knowledge of outpatient procedures, clinical protocols, and patient care standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong organizational and critical thinking abilities.
- Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and professional ethics.
