Provide comprehensive, evidence-based antenatal nursing care and support to pregnant women in collaboration with obstetricians, midwives, and multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Assess maternal history, physical health, and risk; monitor maternal and fetal well-being through vital signs, fetal heart rate, and investigations.
- Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatment.
- Educate patients and families about pregnancy, nutrition, exercise, medication, fetal development, and healthy lifestyles; provide emotional support.
- Identify and report high-risk pregnancies, complications, or changes in condition; administer prescribed medications, vaccines, and treatments safely.
- Coordinate appointments, follow-ups, tests, referrals, and multidisciplinary care planning.
- Document care and outcomes; support patients with pregnancy-related conditions including gestational diabetes, hypertension, preeclampsia, and multiple pregnancies.
- Educate patients about labor, delivery, breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum recovery.
- Follow infection-control, privacy, and hospital requirements; respond to emergencies and support safety, quality, health promotion, and continuing development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- DOH, DHA, or MOH RN license.
