Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial property claims handling experience with increasing levels of complexity and authority.
  • Demonstrated expertise handling large-loss, complex, or litigated commercial property claims.
  • Strong understanding of commercial property insurance coverage and claim adjustment principles.
  • Experience determining reserves, managing exposures, and negotiating favorable claim outcomes.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with brokers, insureds, and external partners.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making is highly beneficial.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 – 7 years of General Adjuster, Large Loss Property Adjuster, or Major Loss experience.
  • CPCU, AIC, SCLA, or other industry designations.
  • Experience managing manufacturing, industrial, real estate, hospitality, or other complex commercial property risks.
  • Previous experience within a global commercial insurance organization.
  • Experience working in matrixed organizations and collaborating across multiple business functions.
  • The annualized base pay range for this role is:
  • O’Fallon, MO - $102,182 - $154,364
  • Alpharetta, GA - $112,818 - $170,509
  • The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.

Responsibilities

  • As a Regional General Adjuster, you'll take ownership of high-exposure property claims from initial notification through resolution while providing exceptional technical expertise and customer service.
  • You'll:
  • Investigate, negotiate, and resolve complex commercial property claims involving significant exposures and challenging coverage issues.
  • Analyze policy coverage, evaluate liability and damages, and establish appropriate reserves.
  • Manage domestic and international claims that may involve litigation and specialized legal considerations.
  • Direct independent adjusters, consultants, engineers, attorneys, and other external service providers.
  • Negotiate claim settlements and deliver cost-effective, customer-focused outcomes.
  • Drive subrogation opportunities and recovery efforts where appropriate.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and key stakeholders.
  • Act as a technical resource and mentor for colleagues handling complex claims matters.
  • Represent Allianz Commercial in the marketplace and contribute to client retention and growth initiatives.
