- Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations for six regional offices across five states, ensuring consistency and compliance with company policies and GAAP.
- Manage and reconcile complex general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial analyses.
- Design, implement, and maintain the company's Chart of Accounts within Aspire Landscape Software to support multi-location financial reporting and operational efficiency.
- Partner with the Controller to standardize accounting processes and establish best practices across all locations.
- Assist with the implementation, optimization, and ongoing administration of Aspire accounting modules and financial workflows.
- Monitor inter-company transactions and reconciliations between regional offices.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, variance analyses, and management reports for executive leadership.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and applicable federal and state regulations.
- Coordinate annual audits and provide supporting documentation to external auditors.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls that promote accuracy and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and system enhancements.
- Mentor and support regional accounting staff, fostering consistency and professional development across locations.
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Construction teams, Operations, Procurement, Human Resources, and Executive Leadership to improve financial visibility and decision-making.
