Role Description

The Writer at INNOV8 will create clear, engaging content that supports our technology offerings and strategic priorities in cybersecurity, cloud solutions, and AI.

This full-time, on-site role based in Colombo involves drafting and editing articles, case studies, marketing collateral, internal documentation, and client-facing materials.

The Writer will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and marketing teams to translate complex technical concepts into accessible narratives tailored to different audiences.

Day-to-day responsibilities include researching industry trends, maintaining consistent brand voice, optimizing content for digital channels where relevant, and ensuring all materials are accurate, well-structured, and aligned with INNOV8’s objectives.

Qualifications

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and structured content for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in technology-related content (e.g., cybersecurity, cloud, AI) or a demonstrated ability to quickly learn and write about complex technical topics.
  • Background in content creation for multiple formats such as blog posts, articles, case studies, web pages, and marketing materials.
  • Excellent research skills and attention to detail, including the ability to verify technical information and synthesize inputs from subject matter experts.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams in an on-site environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Technical Writing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Familiarity with digital publishing tools, basic SEO practices, and content management systems is an advantage.
  • Prior experience in a technology company or consulting environment, especially in Colombo or similar markets, is a plus.
