Digital Egypt Pioneers Initiative (DEPI) is a free scholarship program supported by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in Egypt.

The initiative focuses on developing digital skills and preparing emerging talent for careers in technology, innovation, and digital content.

DEPI offers structured training, mentoring, and practical projects to help participants build market-relevant competencies.

The program provides access to expert instructors, collaborative learning environments, and opportunities to contribute to national digital transformation efforts.

Joining DEPI allows participants to gain valuable experience while supporting Egypt’s growing digital ecosystem.

Role Description

The Writer role at DEPI is a full-time, on-site position based in Markaz Tanta.

The Writer will create clear, engaging content for digital and print channels, including articles, reports, educational materials, and promotional copy.

Daily tasks include researching assigned topics, drafting and revising written materials, collaborating with instructors and project teams to align content with program objectives, and adapting writing style to different audiences.

The Writer will also support content planning, ensure consistency with DEPI’s voice and guidelines, and review materials for accuracy and clarity.

The role may involve contributing to social media posts, internal communications, and documentation related to training activities and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear, structured, and audience-focused content.
  • Ability to conduct thorough research and translate complex information into accessible language.
  • Attention to detail in proofreading, fact-checking, and ensuring linguistic accuracy.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Proficiency in using common office and content tools (e.g., word processing, presentation software, online collaboration platforms).
  • Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in a relevant field such as Communications, Journalism, Media, Literature, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Interest in digital transformation, education, and public initiatives, with willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Ability to work on-site full time in Markaz Tanta and manage multiple tasks and deadlines responsibly.
