Hotel Recreation Attendant
is responsible for assisting guests with recreational facilities and activities, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and a positive guest experience.
Typical tasks include:
Guest Service
- Welcome guests and explain available recreational facilities and activities.
- Provide information about pool rules, fitness center usage, sports courts, beach activities, or resort programs.
- Assist guests with equipment rentals and reservations.
- Answer questions and respond to guest requests professionally.
Facility Monitoring
- Supervise recreational areas such as pools, beaches, gyms, playgrounds, and sports facilities.
- Ensure guests follow safety rules and facility guidelines.
- Report hazards, accidents, or maintenance issues to supervisors.
Equipment Management
- Set up and store recreational equipment (bicycles, kayaks, sports gear, towels, etc.).
- Inspect equipment for damage and arrange repairs when needed.
- Maintain inventory of recreation supplies.
Activity Support
- Assist in organizing and conducting recreational activities, games, tournaments, and events.
- Help with children's programs, fitness classes, or entertainment activities when assigned.
- Prepare activity areas before and after events.
- Cleanliness and Maintenance
- Keep recreation areas clean, organized, and presentable.
- Arrange towels, chairs, umbrellas, and other guest amenities.
- Ensure facilities meet hotel cleanliness and safety standards.
Safety Responsibilities
- Monitor guest safety in recreation areas.
- Administer basic first aid if trained and authorized.
- Follow emergency procedures and assist during incidents.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain attendance logs and activity records.
- Process equipment rentals and returns.
- Complete reports related to incidents, guest feedback, or daily operations.
