Overview

As a Receptionist at Petsfirst Veterinary Clinic, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors.

Your excellent communication skills, friendly demeanor, and organizational abilities will contribute to a positive client experience and the efficient operation of our clinic.

Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

o Greeting clients in a warm and friendly manner

o Answer telephone promptly and politely as well as walk-in inquiries

o Scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling appointments

o Provide information pertaining to clinic procedures, policies, products, services and prices

o Answer general pet health information questions and refer in depth medical questions to doctor or vet technicians as appropriate

o Maintain proper organization of all medical files and associated documents ensuring daily chart review, client/patient call backs, and completion of medical summary by the Veterinarian

o Handle daily client transactions.

Review daily deposits and reconcile cash, checks, and credit card slips with computer generated transactions

o Register new clients/patients in clinic system as per the clinic policy, and ensure proper documentation and signature on any required consent forms related to patient visits

o Assisting with general administrative tasks related to clinic operations

o Maintain cleanliness of reception area, entrance way, and client rest room.

Enforce clinic policies in reception area

o Establish and maintain good working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, clients, and vendors

o Follow standard operating procedures and ensure compliance with SOPs

o Handling pets if required

Skills And Qualifications

o Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree

o Minimum 2 years of experience as a receptionist in a B2C business (UAE veterinary clinic receptionist experience will be preferred)

o Must be fluent in English Language; bilingual (Arabic and English) speaking skills are preferred

o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

o Strong customer service orientation and ability to maintain a positive attitude

o Proficient in using phone systems and computer software, including email and office applications

o Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

o Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment

o Comfortable working with animals and interacting with clients

o Familiarity with veterinary terminologies and procedures is a plus
